She spent her eighth birthday with Rise, who consoled her when she was lonely and upset, and even if it was a "different" Rise, she'll always treasure that memory and look up to her for all the times she's been there for Nanako.
She knows that Togami is from a messed up place, though she doesn't know all the details. And frankly, she would like to keep it that way. But she does know that people who come from messed up places are messed up... usually. She's sure that's why he's so... Togami. He just needs love, right? Like... Like the Grinch. Too bad she's completely wrong. Even with her theory, she can't help but want him to like her anyway. She wants to be his friend! But first... she'll have to work up the courage to get through to him (in her mind, at least).
Nanako liked it when Gau lived with them. She felt a lot less lonely and a lot more cared about, even if it came at the expense of her maturity. Now that he's in another house, she's happy he's away from Togami (seriously, what a toxic pair), but she misses him a little.
